Mrs. Hopson died at her home early Monday morning, Jan. 19.'| She had been in declining health for two years but was confined only , two weeks ago. 1 Mrs. Hopson was born on March 14, 1888, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Levi Clark. She was mar- ■ ried to the late Dick Hopson, who died in 1939. ' I She was a faithful member of the Mt. Vernon Baptist Church where she served as a member of the Fellowship Bible Class and the Naomi Missionary -Circle. On Friday evening, January 16th Mrs. Hfie Cotton was the gracious hostess to the Dorcas Club at her home on Carroll Street. Although the night was a wintry one a large number was present. Mrs. Ora S. Lee, Vice president, presided in the absence of presi dent, Mrs. E. R. Merrick. The guest speaker was St. Jo seph’s miinster, the Rev. M. C. Swann. His subject was “Dorcas. .The i>ali;un saint of lUblical times."
