The bride's mother wore blue lace dress with matching acces sories and a corsage of white car nations. The bridegroom's mother wore a power-blue dress' with white accessories and a corsage of white carnations. wiley Bowling, Jr., brother of the bridegroom, was best man. Ushers were Olivet Hodiie, Quin ton Parker, John Gibson, Jr., and Palmer Perkins, Jr. The bride is a graduate of North Carolina College and taught! this year at Yadkin High School, | Boonville, N. C. • ; The bridegroom is a graduate of Alabama State College and is working toward a Masters of Arts, degree at North Carolina College, where he also has served as as sistant director of bands for the past two years. Daniels was enter tained Monday night, June 15, a a miscellaneous shower given by Miss R. B. Grissom of 603 Gray Street. Upon her arrival, Miss Daniels was presented a corsage of spring flowers. A pink and white motif was carried out in the shower dec orations. The table was covered with a lace cloth and was ce^iter- ed with a bowl ^ing; flowers and was flanked by pink tapers. Zion Chruch Saturday. -rO—^ Miss Florida Lucylle Fisher daughter of the Reverend Doctor and Mrs. Miles Mark Fisher, III of Durnam was married ‘Saturday afternoon at fivt o’clock to Cap tain Herbert Gerald Parker, United State Army. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Otis James Parker of Fayetteville, Arkansas. The Reverend Doctor Fisher, father cf the bride, performed the double ring cermony uniting the couple in White Rock Baptist Church. He was assisted by the Reverend E. T. Browne, pastor of the Mt. Vernon Baptist Church. The vows were spoken before the altar which was banked with palms, white gladioli and candle- labra. The topers were lighted by Ada Markita Fisher, sister of the bride and Janet Geraldine Foster, the bride’s cousin both attired in yellow. They were assisted by Christoper Tennant Fisher, young est brother of the bride. The nuptials music was provided by John H. Gattis, organist, Mrs. Lewis M. Goodwin, solist, and the Hill, and Elijah John Fisher, bro ther of the bride. The mother of the bride wore a pink lace gown over pink taffeta, with macthng Isce hat and corsage of white carnations, Mrs. D. Eric Moore presented guests to the receiving line. Mrs. Edward Boyd and Mrs. F. Vincent Allison poured the punch. Miss Bobbie Mickles was at the cup table. Mrs. Nathaniel White re ceived guests while Mrs. Jonh Bailey, Mrs. Emmett Pratt, Mrs. William G. Pearson, II, Mrs. Paul McAllister and Mrs. General R. Pearson served as hostesses. Funeral services were held Wednesday, July 1, at the Spring Branch Methodist Church, Tar Hill, N. C. The Rev. B. M. Turner officiated. Interment in Washing ton Cemetary. A native of Fairmont, N. C. Son of the late Giles ai.d Lucy McCoy, he is survived by his wife, three sons, six daughters, 20 grandchildren, thi'ee brothers and three aunts.
