gown of white taffeta, fashioned
along princess lines and featuring
short sleeves and fluted inserts of
white illusion net. Her fingertip
veil of silk illusion was attached
to a white crown with seed pearls.
She carried a bouquet of white
gladioli and white carnations.
Mrs. L. E. Harley, of New York,
the bride’s sister, was matron
of honor. She wore a bress of blue
organza over a taffeta floral print.

who died Wednesday at ^iemorial
Hospital after a short illness. He
is ,,irvived by his wife, Mr*.
Willie Mae Cotton, five children,
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Willie Cot
ton, four sisters, three step-sisters,
four brothers, three step-broUiers
and a host of other relatives and
friends.

graduating exercises at Morgan
State College in Baltimore, Md. of
her daughter, Mrs. Gloria Vickera

fon dress decorated with rhine
stones. Mrs. Dillard wore a pink
rayon dress with pleated skirt.
Both carried bouquets of pink and
white jreosbuds. Murice Glenn of
Durham was best man.
The brido was graauated from
Johnson C. Smith University. She
also holds Masters’ degrees from
New York University and'^Colum
bia University respectively. She is
presently employed with the New
York Public Library.

On Sunday afternoon a group
of mothers, friends and young
girls met at the home of Mrs.
Thomasine Regester for the pur
pose of forming a Y-Teen group
among our yoong girls. Mrs Dan
ny Young, who is the organizer
of the white Y-Teen group, met
withlhe group to explain how to
get it started and other worth
while purposes of this group.
It was decided that we would
work with girls in the 12-14 age
group since they seem to be more
interested at this time.
Mrs. Hegester was elected as
oui* supervisor and Mrs. Joyce
Owens was elected as temporary
director.
Those present were; Mesdames;
Helen Himes, Barbara Oldham,
Arvella Briggs, Allene Baldwin,
Mannie Davis, H. K. Russell, W.
A. Terrill, who is secretary of the
other Y-Teen Group, Mrs. Danny

Roger on the Snipes Farm. Mrs.
Snipes and Roger will accompany
the Skinners back to Norfolk, Va.
to spend a few days with them.
Mrs. Skinner is the former Miss
Margaret Snipes.
