“Frank Dewey Wray, Sr.. died
Wednesday, April 3, at Lincoln
Hospital.
Funeral services were con
ducted, Saturday, April 6, by
Rev. Miles Mark Fisher at
White Rock Baptist Church.
Burial followed in Beechwood
Cemetery,
Wray was, born in King’s
Mountain to the late Sidney and
Hattie Wray.
He came to Durham in 1926
and began practing his trade of
brick masonry. Later he esta
blished a Taxicab business which
he operated for twenty-five
! years.
Surviving are his wife. Mrs.
Lyda Wray; two sons, Frank,
Jr., WasTiIngton, D. C. and
Joseph of Durham; two daugh
ters, Yvonne of Washington, D.
C., and Sandra of Durham; two
sisters. Miss Glenolia Wray,
and Mrs. Esther Hall; and one
half brother, Dewitt Wray.
