Crusaders Meet With Mrs. Minnie Jones on Atlantic St. The Crusaders Club which consist of members in the southern part of Fayetteville and Atlantic- Streets met No vember 27 at 8:00 P.M. It was at the home of Mrs. Minnie Jones, 2809 Atlantic Street. After the devoitonal period, the meeting was opened for business by the President, Wil bert Richmond. Old and new business was discussed. Includ ed in this were plans for a Christmas social to be given during the holidays at the Rec reation Center. In a pervious meeting it was decided to send greetings of welcome to the Durham Busi ness College which is located in our community. The following members were present: Mr. and Mrs. Wilbert Richmond, Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Edwards, Mr. and Mrs. C. E. M-M School Mixed Chorus to Present Handel's 'Messiah' The Merrick-Moore School Mixed Chous under the direc tion of Mrs. Gloria Timberlake, will present Handel's 'Messiah' Sunday, December 11, at 4:50 in the school auditorium. Accompanists for the pre sentation will be Mrs. Alice Stewart at the organ and Miss Jessie Willis at the piano. Soloists are Ernestine Fulton, soprano; Valeria Daniels, con tralto; Robert D. Choates, ten or; and Henry Young, Bass. The program is open to the public. Senior Choir of Covenant Church to Present Cantata Covenant United Presbyte rian Church's Senior Choir will present Nobel Cain's Christmas cantata, The Celestial Visitor, on Sunday morning, December 12, at 11:0 c o'clock. Dr. Samuel Gandy, dean of the School of Religion at Howard University in Washing ton, D. C., was guest preacher at Duke University Chapel last Sunday at the 11:00 A.M. ser vice.
