A recent survey conducted by the South ern Christian Leadership Con ference found that the present generation of Southern Ne groes, especially those involv ed in bringing about social change, is less of a matriarchal society than the one before it. This finding was reached hy SCLC's Citizenship Education Department following a work shop held at the Penn Commu nity Center, Frogmore, S C.
