W-SS Organizes AAUP Chapter WINSTON-SALEM A chap ter of the American Associa tion of University Professors (AAUP) was officially establish ed on the campus of Winston- Salem State College recently with a joint banquet and in stallation service at the local Downtowner Motor Inn. Dr. Alinzo Kenion, president of the Wake Forest Chapter of AAUP, installed the officers of the new chapter. The offi cers "are: James S. Galloway, president; Hamlet E. Goore, v president; Mrs. Meada Poindex ter, corresponding secretary; Mrs. Sylvia S. Saunders, record ing secretary; Dr. Edith J. Had ley, treasurer and Dr. Alphon so R. ' k, parliamentarian. Following the installation, Dr. James C. O'Flaherty, chair man of the Department of Ger man of Wake Forest College, addressed the chapter. Dr. Kenion and Dr. O'Fla herty were then joined by Dr. ' Paul Goss, past president of the Wake Forest Chapter of the AAUP, in a discussion of procedures and projects of the , Wake Forest AAUP chapter. ! The meeting was opened with devotions by Mrs. Coleman. During devotions, members gave expressions of blessings which was bestored upon them during "65" and wished each one a happy New Year. The members also discussed differ ent points on our Christmas party and other business. Each committee gave their report. Afterwards, the meeting came to a close. Mrs. Burrough serv ed a delicious repast.
