Harvey, home economist, of Rochester, N.Y.; Dr Helen Smith, dentist, business and civic leader of Los Angeles, Calif.; Miss Ma rian Wright, attorney, of Jack son, Miss., recently named by a national magazine as one of the nation's outstanding young women; and Dr. Ella Haith Weaver, on sabbatical leave from Brooklyn College to serve as speech consultant to the Job Corps for Women. Following this session, there were three seminar sessions •Ahich were continued during the afternoon. MAR. 30 WINSTON-SALEM—The Win- | ston-Salem State College will hold its Fourth Annual Par- j ents' Day on Sunday, March 30, The theme for this year's event is "Parental Responsibil ity in the Achievement of Aca demic Excellence." Dr. Frank W. Hale, Chairman of the De partment of English at Central State College, Xenia, Ohio, will be the featured speaker. The activities of the day will get under way with registra tion beginning at 8:00 A.M. and they will close with the address and a salute to parents beginning at 4:00 P.M. and scheduled to end around 5:00 PM Other activities of the day will include opportunities to visit in the dormitories with j students, to confer with in structors and college officials, and to attend a morning wor ship service. Dutch Clock," Sim mons. Mrs. M;Fadden is chairman of the Music Department at Winston-Salem State College. Her formal training includes a bachelor's degree in music education from Howard Uni versity, a master's degree from the University of Connecticut with additional study at Pea body Conservatory, the Univer sity of Maryland, and the Uni versity of North Carolina. Mrs. McFadden has played the piano since age five. She has had private Instruction from Leonard Seeber and Dr. Arthur Sotz. Her experience in cludes work as a music super visor, a consultant for a pub lic school system, a minister of music for a large church and an instructor in music at Tal ladega College. Miss Holman, accompanist for the College Choir, has olayed the piano from an early *ge.
