The Family of Mrs. Martha Merrick Donnell CLUB MEETS WITH MRS. McCLAIN The Lyon Park ROM Garden Club met at the home of Mrs. Helen McClain, 1029 Cornell Street, Monday evening, May 23. Mr». Fannie Tapp opened the Garden Gate. The Club song wa» sung. Prayer was offered by Mrs. Tapp and a poem en titled "Others" was read. The meeting was then turned over to the hostess, Mrs. Mc- Clain, who invited us into the dining room where a lovely turkey dinner was served The table was beautifully decorated with a lovely arrangement of roses. RALLY CLOSED The Annual Men and Wom en's Day Drive at Russell Me morial C.M.E. Church came to a close, Sunday, May 22. The sum of $2,913.40 for the men and $2,560.90 for the women making a total of $9,074.30 was reported. The general discus sion was centered around what had been planted in our gar dens. Stephens.
