It will'be named the John F
Kennedy Center for Interna
tional Education Matching the
late President's tenure in of
fice, the target date for first
phase completion of the $lO
million building program is
two years, ten months and two
day;;. Ground breaking is
scheduled for fall, 1967.
The Center, in the heart of
the thriving Daytona Beach
community, already famous for
its international outlook, would
bring together an equal num
ber of American and foreign ,
students who will live and learn
and work at the Center while i
attending conferences and semi
nars of varied duration from
one week to six months.
The primary objective of the I
Center is the promotion of bet
ter understanding through
clear lines of communication
among other nations of the
world and the United States. A
parallel objective is the bet
terment of relations wtih these
countries.
The Center's program is be
ing developed by a Program
