Chuck Demby and Nat Mur phy. Gordon led the Bears in scoring last season, and 6-6 Demby gives the team strength under the boards. The tournament will be the first action for Norfolk State since the Spartans were given a two-week layoff by coach Ernie Fears. The big question will be whether or not the Spartans can regain the momentum they picked up in trouncing three CIAA foes. Fears' sophomore - dominated unit is paced by sharpshoot ers Essex Thompson, Jim Grant and Bobby Dandridge and de fensive standouts Clarence Bur ney and Johnny McKinney. Grant has averaed 22 points per game for Norfolk State. Don't be afraid of what 'peo ple will think'—people don't think about you half as often as you think they do.
