Mom leaped all over me again today because my room is a mess. She puts things where 1 can't find them and I can never remember where to put them _ back. I pick up my room every Saturday, but it just naturally seems to get messed up again. Besides, I don't see why the fuss it's my room. A. Sure, it's your room! But your room is part of the family's home! When one room is a mess, it's just as though you got dressed for a formal party, but wore a dirty, old loafer on the left foot. You need to plan the best way to keep your room in order Next Saturday when you clean decide on a place to keep everything Make a list of "keeping places" then promise yourself you'll put things away when you're through with them imme diately! Organize your closet and drawers and throw or give ajray anything you haven't used for ages. It's easier to put shoes, purses, hats, lingerie, gloves or scarves away if each has a special nook that's pretty too. Try covering boxes with Mar valon adhesive covering in a bright, gay pattern for shoes and hats. A matching drawer liner and dividers "compart mentalize" your dresser into order. Have fun! We think you'll like the pretty way a picked-up room looks! Q. Loag baagf an "cool," bat • I rj forehead definitely liam Vennie Harris, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ma&sett Harris of Durham. This is tb« first time I bate had an) complexion prob lems. Do the bangs cause it? A Long hair around the face and complexion problems are "steadies!" Heavy hair on your forehead couid cause skin to break out. If you're going to keep wearing bangs, be sure your face and hair are scrupu lously clean always. You may have to wash your hair every few days to eliminate oili ness. Your face deserves a thorough washing twice a day with soap and water, and be sure to avoid irritating the broken out area. A mild, medi cated astringent might be help ful, too. Q. Love those little white gloves in the summertime! They're so perfect for church and for dress-up dates. But mine are never clean when I need them and it seems to take them forever to dry. A W U>ve cm too! And you're right,— they should be immaculate for every wearing. The ready-when-you-need-them trick is never to pui your gloves back in the drawer after you've worn them. Wash them as soon as possible it only takes a minute or two. For quicker dry ing. try this: After washing, roll them in a towel, unroll and shake out. Then stuff a Kleenex tissue or two in the palm of each glove. This helps the air circulate through the fabric makes for jiffy drying! Durham Social Happenings By MRS. VIRGINIA ALSTON DIAL 596 6421 IN CITY TO ATTKND MASONIC MfETING Mr. and Mrs. W.
