Lewis, chair man of the Friends of United Organization for Community Improvement, announced this week that during the past two months the response of Durham citizens tn aiding the UOCI, both financially and with dona tion of clothes, "material for garments, furnrture and other wise, has been most winder ful. Mrs. Lewis stated that she had been authorised by the en tire UOCI staff to express thanks for the support the or ganization has received the past two months. Zion Church at 11 a. m. Devotions will be led by Mrs Maud Hatley and Mrs. Vera Hackney. The sermon will be delivered by Rev. R. V. Hor ton, the pastor. Miss Brenda McClain, a graduate of St. Mary's in the Mountains, will render selec tions from Bach and several original numbers of her own. Miss Brenda Watson, a ris ing senior at Hillside High School, will render spirituals and selections from Roger and Hammerstein's Sound of Music.
