Boone was elected presi dent-elect at last year's con vention held in Dallas, Texas. He served as vice president prior to his election in Dallas. The president-elect position renders an opportunity for the individual to become familiar with the responsibilities of the ' presidency. A resident of Atlanta, Boone is a member of the At lanta Chapter of NAMD and served as convention coordina tor. Among other honors, Boone was declared a full fledged member of the Elks 1.8.P.0.E. of the World. He was then named Assistant Grand Director of Public Re lations for the Grand Lodge. C. B. Davis, vice president. Southwest Distributing Com pany, Houston, Texas, was elected p red dent-elect for 1968-69, during the final ses sion of the convention. Other officers elected were: vice presidents Charles Smith, Royal Grown Cola Company, Columbia, Georgia; Allen Mc- Kellar, Falstaff Brewing Com pany, St. Louis, Misaouri; Ri chard King, Hiram Walker, De troit, Michigan; and Samuel White man, Samuel Whiteman Company, Dallas. Larry Garter, Pharmaco, Kenil worth, New Jersey, waa elected secretary, with Sarah Allen of General Foods Cor poration, White Plains, N. Y. as mUuI secretary. Ed Bell, Atlantic Refining Company, was m eisstsd treasurer, and Inn Kaiser of Inn Kaiser b Aseociates, waa elected u an aaalatant.
