In 1967, when her son, Dr. Gerald Edwards, went to India aa a Consultant in the Physi cal Sciences in the Ohio State University lndia Education Project, sponsored by the Agency for International De velopment, he took his mother along. While Dr. Edwards, chair man of the department of Chemistry at AAT University, was busy with his work, his mother looked for something to occupy her time. She found just the thing—a job as a music teacher in a Mysore elementary school. She teaches Indian children the songs loved by American youngsters. Mrs. Edwards holds the Mas ter of Arts degree from Teach ers College, Columbia Univer sity, with a major in voice an 3 music education.
