B. C. Answer: The roll call vote is good for clubs which specify that all members must be fin ancial to cast the ballot. The secretary is instructed to call the roll when the club is voting on a measure or per son. If a member is for the motion,* he says "Yea"; If against? the motion, he "Nay"; if he doesn't want to vote, he says "Present." In Congress "restrain" is used to indicate that a mem ber does not wish to vote. L Wilson, pas tor of Convent Avenue Bap tist Church In New York City, was re-elected president of Lott Carey Baptist Foreign Mlsrion Convention at the 71st Annual Session meeting here at Wayland Baptist Church Au gust 26-30. Mayor Walter E. Washing ton of Washington, D. If we believe in God, then we must also believe that they have the very dignity of the Divine because God created them in His own image. If we hear the word of God we must listen to the poor. The church can do much to create an environment which will make the cities a benefit, not a hlnderance. Washington toW the dele- i gates that we are not only In trouble as a nation, we are in i trouble as a species. Man is in America have come face to ; face with tradegy. We are sad dened and confused, however, I the time has come with clear j force that requires us to tell ! the nation that Robert F. Ken- nedy, Martin Luther King, Medger Evers and John F. Ken nedy, and other leaders, have not died in vain that a bullet does not kill a cause-that the goals and dreams of these men can still come true. The only fitting memorial to these valiant men is the living reality of bricks and mor tar in homes for the ill-housed, better schools for the poorly educated, and the proper dis tribution of our resources so that all our people can live decent productive lives. BLACK CHURCH President Wilson admonish ed the assembled delegates that the Black Church in America must take the lead in Missions and helping the emerging Na tions of Africa and India to establish themselves in the world. Africa wants Black Mis sionaries who understand their heritage, to assist them in es tablishing in many places the Black Missionary is welcomed and the white missionary is unwanted and untrusted. The Black Church must speak out and be heard in the world crisis. There are nations similar to us who are waiting for the Black Church unmuzzled to speak out. We must do for our selves and not expect others to fo for us what we can do. The spirit of the Lott Carey and early pioneers who bought his freedom from silvery by picking scraps of tobacco at Chase City, Virginia must not be forgotten.
