J Mm X * OLD | RUM iJ.6oaßfth $135. tenth V - •" Caswell Bulls Rally fo Down Panthers 83-64 YANCEYVILLE The Cas well County High School Bulls of Yinceyville, came from be hind in what was a thoroughly exciting game to beat the Per son County High School Pan thers of Roxboro, 83-94 last Thursday night. The Bulls started off cold and at the end of, the first quarter the Panthers were well ahead with a score of 31-13. At half time the score was 38-24 with the Panthers out In front with a 14 point lead. Coach Johnny Moses roused his Bulls at half time and in the third quarter with 1:02 show ing on the clock the score was tied at 51-41. At the end of the third quar ter the Bulls had charged ahead and the score was 89- 52. The fourth quarter marked the real turnine point of the game. The Bulls' miraculous defen sive and offensive plays stunned and caused the Pan thers to lose all control. At the end of the game the Bulls had seized what seemed impossible, a 10 point lead. Thus, the Bulls were victo rious with final 3 -»*■ n j~ -ausp Charlie Cannon led the herd with 31 points. Raymond Lea and Ronald Bunn were next with 13 markers each. Durham Man Returns to City From Africa Charles Kenyatta, the former Charles Morris, who spent most of his young life here in Dur ham has returned to his old hometown in order to write a book "From Muslim to Msu Mau ... In Cold Blood" on the experiencea which he has undergone and the philosophy which he has developed since lesving home msny years ago. The book has been commission ed by snother Durham cele brity, Floyd McKissick, Nation al Executive Director of the Committee On Racial Equality. McKissick, under the banner of his new project. Floyd Mc- Kissick Enterprises, Inc., has just purchased a New York publishing company, Hiunder and lightening Publishers, snd Kenystta's book will be the first publication issued by the new compsny.
