The Vir ginia Education Association estimates that next year near ly 75 per cent of the state's teachers will be in localities paying a minimum salary of S6BOO or more and nearly 50 per cept will be in localities where the maximum salary is SIO,OOO or greater. Currently 47 per cent of Vir ginia teachers are in localities with at least a $6500 minimum and 29 per cent are in locali ties with at least a SIO,OOO maximum.
