First off, let me be on* of
the first to give our church
family a well-deserved con
gratulation. We have finally
purchased a Church bus to
get our people to service. We
have needed this service for
so long. Now we have attained
this goal, so no longerl does
one have an excuse for not
being present on Sunday
morning. Please contact Wil
liam Vinson for the bus
schedule.
Saturday morning, January
23 at 11:00 a.m. there was
an organizational meeting for
a basketball team sponsored
by the church.
- Saturday, January 23, Mrs.
Nunn sponsored the monthly
art and music workshop in
the fellowship hall of the
church directly after youth
choir rehearsal. Mrs. Nunn's
affairs are always worthwhile.
The monthly youth day was
observed Sunday, January
24. Participants at the 11:00
ajn. service were Jimmy
Roberson, Cheryl Hlnes, Jerry
Walker, Vanessa Vinson, Jan

1. Don't spoil me. I know
quite well that I ought not to
have all that I ask for. I'm
testing you.
2. Don't be afraid to be firm
with me. I prefer it; it makes
me feel more recure.
3. Don't let me form bad
habits. I have to rely on you
to direct them in the early
stages. v V i
4. Don't make me feel small- 2
er than I am. It only makes
me behave stupidly "big."
5. Don't correct me in front
of people if you tfan help it.
Til take much more notice if
you talk quietly with me in
private.
6. Don't make me feel my
mistakes are sins. It upsets my
sense of values.
7. Don't protect me from con
sequences. I need to learn the
painful way, sometimes.
Dont be too upset when I
say 'T hate you." It isn't you
I hate but your power to
thwart me.
9. Don't, take too much of
my small ailments. Sometimes
they get the attention I need.
10. Don't nag. If you do, I
shall have to protect myself
by appearing deaf.
11. Don't forget that I cannot
explain myself as well as I
should l like. This is why I'm
not always very accurate.
12. Don't make me rash
promises. Remember that I
feel badly let down when
promises are broken.
13. Don't tax my honesty
too much. I am easily frighten
ed into telling lies.
14. Don't be inconsistent.
That completely confuses me
and makes me lose faith in
you.
15. Dno't tell me my fears
are silly. They are terribly
real and you can do much to
reassure me if you try to un
derstand.
16. Don't put me off when
I ask questions. If yon do, you
will find that I atop asking
and seek information else
where.
17. Don't ever suggest that
you are perfect or infallible.
It gives me too great a shock
when I discover that yon are
neither.
18. Don't ever think it ia be
neath your dignity to apolo
gize to me. An honest apology
makes me feel surprisingly
warm toward you.
19. Don't forget how quickly
I am growing up. It must be
very difficult to keep paee
with me, but please tr^

On last Saturday at the '
one day session of the East
Cedar Grove Missionary Bap
tist Association, Miss Audrey
1 KAe president of the junior
depsrtment gave a speech on
the people and how they let
society and their church down.
Miss Kee felt that young peo
ple should take a few minutes
of their time to serve God. She
felt that many times young
people have the opportunity to
do something for God but
choose not to do so.
The only way for the
church to help solve the pro
blem of young people and
society is to try to get adults
to come together and compro
mise in a Christian way with
God.
"The Church is and must
be the conscience of the prob
