Walker: In addition to the meet, we will a range tours of the area, meetings with civic groups, Afro-American Clubs, ait groups, and a diplomatic core from Washington will be here to greet them. C. T.: Dr. Walker, are there undedying political reasons for this meet? Walker: No. There will be things learned and ideas dis cussed other than track and field events, but these will be purely secondary. The diplo matic core will be here solely out of courtesy, not because of state or federal govern ments. We hope the athletes will feel at liberty for discus sion as they do in the "Olym pic villages" where you just sit and talk about your varied in terest. When I was in Rome in '63 for the Olympic Games, there were Israeli and _ Arab discussion problems with each other while their countries were at war. At this time, this was unheard of. This event is purely a-polit ical. We do wish to exchange ideas of general human rela tions, as well as coaching, how ever. We would like to arrange an exchange program with Afri ca, as we have with Russia, in which every other year we have the sports in the alternate team's country. We are having it here this year, the next event, will hopefully, be held in Africa. —local Church Event*- The Community Baptist Church on Barbee Road, Rev. E. T.
