Bonnette Mrs. Clarence F. Bonnette, the former Miss Lillie Ann Robinson, was the honoree at a surprise kitchen shower given by Miss Betty Heath and Mrs. LeMarquis DeJar mon on September 17. CLARENCE BONNETTE Bonnette-Robinson Vows Are Exchanged in S. C. Ceremony. Emancipation Baptist Church in Orangeburg, South Carolina was the setting on Saturday, August 21, 1971 at 1 p.m. tor the wedding of Miss Lillie Ann Robinson and Clarence Bonnette. Parents of the couple are Mrs. Lucille Robinson of Orangeburg, S. C. and the Rev. and Mrs. H. 0. Harvey of Orangeburg, S. C. The double ring ceremony was performed by the Rev. L. M. Tyler. A program of wedding music was presented by Miss Dorothy Montgomery organist and Mrs. B. F. Robinson, soloist. The bride's wedding gown and veil, designed and made by her, was Alencon lace overdress with long sleeves over a satin underdress. Her veil was a cathedral length lace mantilla and Bhe carried white satin roses accentuated with flowing pearls. Mrs. Henry Glover served as matron of honor and was attired in a hot pink satin lifted waist line dress with white collar. She carried Pink carnations. P. Thorpe on Dunbar St. recently. The meeting was presided over by the presi dent Mrs. E. D. Wray. The garden gate was open ed by the hostess. Members repeated Bible quotations fol lowed by a prayer, "Others." All members joined in sing ing the club song, "Thank God for a Garden" to end this part of the program. The president made a re port on the Garden Club Federation. Plans for merger of the two local garden coun cils were discussed. An invi tation to participate in the upcoming Flower Show was also considered 1 and appoint ments were made for en trances in different divisions. After being served a deli cious repast the meeting was adjourned. Workshop Held At Orange High The FHA Chapters of Chap el Hill and Orange served as co-sponsors for a FHA work shop at Orange Sr. High School Tuesday, Sept. 14 at 4:15 p.m. Advisors Betty Mc- Allister and Ruth Pople in troduced and discussed over all plans and objectives for the organization. The Student Council's An nual Budget Drive officially started today with a skit in assembly. The skit showed the conrast in the amount of money the Sophomores, Jun iors and Senior's would raise. Afterwards the participants went out into the audience to collect money for the Drive. Links to make a chain will be bought for a nickel a link. The chain links of each class will then be stretched out to see which class has the most money. This is class competition, so please support your class.
