A number of alumni and Mends of the library science school have Indicated their plana to attend, Dr. Phlnate* reported. Participants will register, have coffee, and tour the library science quarters In the James E. Shepard Memorial Library at 9:30 am. Group meetings are scheduled from 10:35 am. to noon. A. luncheon at the university cafeteria is set for 12:16 p.m., and an alumni business meet ing is scheduled for 1:46 pan. The first Alumni Day cele bration is being held on the occasion of the 30th anniver sary of the establishment of the school of library science. A souvenir booklet, prepared for the occasion, will be dedicated to Daniel Eric Moore, who served longest as the school's dean. Bige low, pastor of the Greater St. Paul Biptist Church, will de liver the message. He will be accompanied by the Chancel choir of his church, two organi zations, ushers and congrega tion. Mrs. Pratt is a graduate of Hillside High School of Dur ham. She received her A.B. Degree from Shaw University in Raleigh, N. C. and a M. A. Degree from New York Uni versity, New York City. In addition, she has done further study at UNC, Chapei Hill, NCCU, Durham and Temple University, Philadelphia, Pa. Her experience as a teacher has been in High Point, N. C., Hillsborough, N. C. and pre sently the North Durham School here in the city. Mrs. Pratt has distinguished herself in numerous organi zations in areas of education, religion and civic. Some of these include local, state, dis trict and national educational organizations in which she has held positions of distinction, and has traveled extensively as a delegate and officer. For a number of years she was president of the Junior Convention for which she was recently named to the position of Supervisor. A member of the National Sorority of Phi-Delta Kappa, she is the advisor of the Xino Chapter of Durham. She is a member of First Calvary Baptist Church where she chairs numerous commit tees, and serves as advisor of the Junior Choir, Director of the Women's Choir and as Church Secretary.
