Davis and members of the family sincerely thanks God for everyone who responded in any way prayers, cards, flowers, finance, visits, and all other expressions of love "especially do we make mention of Union Baptist Church, Durham," during the illness and the passing into transition of his mother, Mrs. Elnora Buffaloe Davis. Mrs. Elnora Davis was born October, 9, 1844 at Gumberry, and died Febraury, 4th, 1974 (her late husband departed this life February 4th, 1936) both at home in the same room at Pleasant Hill. She Is survived by three sons, Willie Curnell and Russell William of the home, Grady Demus and wife, Dorothy Davis of Raleigh, two daughters Eula Mae Davis of the home and Ella Mae Norrls Norwood and husband George Norwood Gandhi, Psyche Darzette, Crystal Tan, all of Raleigh, Deryl Gradette and husband, Ron Harrison of Chapel Hill, and Nora Jean Baker of Easton, Md., two brothers, Russell Buffaloe of Gumberry, and Eddie Daisy of PeekskiU, N.Y., and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Mrs. Elnora Buffaloe Davis was funeralized Thursday February 7th, at 3:o'clock at the Faithful Band Baptist Church, Pleasant Hill N.C. The Rev. W. R. Biirston, pastor, officated. A pair of twins, Charles and James Cameron, Directors of the Union Baptist Sunday School were ordained in the order of the Deaconship during the 11 o'clock worship service, February 10th, 1974. The Ordination Message was delivered, by Dr. Grady D. Davis, "Good Samaritan Deacons." Text found in Luke 10:25. The Ordination Oath-Giving was conducted by Rev. John Caldwell. Lyons Day returned Foreign Missionary after 80 years of dedicated service will culimate the 2nd Sunday March 10th. At this meet plana for Camp, Youth Conference will be completed.
