as pray," which was very good.
Music was rendered by the
Junior Choir.

Master James Blue III, children

spent Christmas holidays with
their grandmother, Mrs.
Barbara Wrencher in Carthage. .
Michael White has returned
to Temple University in
Philadelphia, Pa. He was
accompanied by his mother,
Mrs. Nellie White, hite is a
rising senior.

Celebrates After
Christmas Party
The Floral Club of Mt.
Vernon Baptist Church
celebrated its Annual
after-Christmas Party Friday
night, January 10, at 7:00 p.m.
at the Y.W.C.A. on Umstead
Street.
The guests were welcomed
by Mrs. Louise Pearce. The
blessing was given by Bro. King
Brown. A very delicious roast
beef dinner was then served.
After dinner, games were;
placed " and - gifts were'
exchanged. Remarks by the
President-Mrs. Josephine
Brown.
Members attending were Mr.
and Mrs. King Brown, Mr. and
Mrs. Joseph Langley,
Mesdames, Louise Pearce,
Elnora Arrington, Loal Clark,
Luetta Sims, Mary Avent,
Veave Faulk, Gladys Sneed,
Bailey, Joseph Nuchurch.
A delicious repass was
served by Mrs. Marie Bailey
and Mrs. Mary Vanhook. The
next meeting will be at the
home of Mr. Lewis Ewing. A
closing, prayer was said by Mr.
Lee Brown.
The Kittrell Colleg Choir
and the Eastern District of the
Western North Carolina AME
Conference will sponsor a
gospel music program entitled
"Singspiration '75" on Sunday
January 19 in Raleigh
Memorial Auditorium.
Schedule to begin at 2:30, the
program, will combine the
talents of the area's most

University returned to campus
today following a three-week
trip to Cairco, Egypt. While in
Cairo Dr. Elaasar attended the
International Economic
Policies Conference Dec.
27 -Dec. 31 where he presided
as chairman of the Economic
Planning Division.
He also presented a paper
entitled, "Role of International
Trade on Egypt's Economic
Development. "
