During the earlier March of Dimes Telethon, members of the ECSU chapter canvascd homes in the Elizabeth City and surrounding areas. Each year, they have collected over $200 from their door-to-door solicitation of funds. In addition, the Sigmas distributed pamphlets on drugs, pre-natal care, birth defects, Sickle-Cell Anemia and other diseases. They were assisted by members of their sister organization, at ECSU, the Alpha Gamma Chapter of the Zeta Phi Beta Sorority. The advisors, officers and members of the Gamma Rho Chapter of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity wish to thank The Daily Advance, radio stations WGA1 and WCNC and the Elizabeth City community for 'helping to make this project successful, by making worthwhile contributions to the health and safety of future generations. nnnn Home Ownership A Sound Investment Most people like to think of their home as a sound investment, one that should increase in value.
