We challenge other families to follow our ex ample." On Sunday, the 16th, Rev. F.A. Leak, pastor of, the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, gave Mrs. Hauser a place of honor during the morning worship. Howard Carter, a nephew of Mrs. Hauser who is president of the Yadkin County branch of the NAACP, formally presented the life member-, ship plaque to Mrs. Hauser. He paid tribute to her as being the branch's first life member and urg ed those present not to let her enjoy that distinction very long. Following the morning services, the family hosted a reception in the church Fellowship Hall where the community was given the opportunity to say "Happy Birthday" to Mrs. Hauser. Mrs. Hauser and the late Rev. Hauser have seven daughters: Mrs. Beulah Vay Christian and Mrs. Martha V. Wilson of Yadkinville; Mrs. Mary i Olena Paige of Herndon, Virginia; Mrs. Dora L. Callaway of Washington, D.C.; Mrs. Doris D., Elliott ' of. Hyattsville, Maryland;' . s. Velma E. Elder Student Union on the campus of North Carolina "Central University. Light Of World Lodge To Observe 55th Anniversary Light Of World Lodge will observe its 55th Anniver sary Friday through Sunday in Siler City. Alexander Graves, Jr., coordinator, states that a well rounded program is planned. On Friday evening, March 28, from 10 p.m. until 2 a.m., a Ball is planned at the National Guard Armory. Saturday night is closed to the public and activities will be at the American Legion Hut. Breakfast will be served Sunday morning at the Lodge Hall from 6:30 to 8:30 a.m., followed by church service at Centennial AME Zion Church in Bear Creek at 1 1 a.m. The climax will be the dedicatorial services of the E.S. Ramsey Gymnasium with J. A. Carter, Past State Grand Lecturer of Durham, as the keynote speaker. NURSES BREAKFAST CLUB The Nurses Breakfast Club held its regular monthly meeting March 19 at the Fayetteville Street Chicken Hut with Mrs. L. McCoy, president, presiding.
