Mrs. Helen Pierce, the ci ty's outgoing Teacher of the Year, presented awards. Her husband is an army veteran. Mrs. Forshee wants to compile a book of students' work and maybe write a book on African history. She plans to travel and teach Bible School in the summers. She had the experience of teaching many grade levels. She receiv ed her B.S. degree from Fayetteville State University and the M.A. from New York University in Language and Social Studies. Warren Lewis Coachman, 56, pastor of - Piney Grove Baptist Church in Raeford, of 606 Lakeland Drive. Rev. Coachman was actively involved in the Civil Rights movement during the 1960's'and was a former president of the NAACP chapter here. He was also chairman of the 13th Precinct and encouraged efforts to build a housing complex in Dunn. He was pastor of St. John's Baptist Church in Dunn for ten years. Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at Swann's Creek Baptist Church.
