Four-year-olds in the program from Lakewood Elementary School recited a poem from memory by Langston Hughes and sang the first stanza of the "Life Every Voice and Sing." The program grew out of the Magnet School Study of several years ago. It also functions at East End School. The school board also passed a motion to change its regular April 13 meeting to April 6 because several board members will be attending a profes sional meeting out of town at that time. DWIGHT L.
