Walter Bremond (right), the Fund's executive director announced the appointment of Maurice and Verdine to the organization's Board of Directors, after which they sent a message to the people and the government concerning the Reagan Administration's budget cuts, wtldi endanger many community services for American blacks. Bremond pointed out that non-profit organizations will lose J12. 6 billion by 1984. Through the efforts ol the Black United Fund, vital social, community and educatid services in cities from coast to coast might be saved from the axe of federal budget cuts.
