He is a life member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraterni
ty and the NAACP. In 1975 he was selected
"Distinguished Alumnus of the Year" by his alma

He is married to Elizabeth Frasier, former prin
cipal of Frank Porter Graham Elementary School,
Chapel Hill. He has two sons, LeRoy B. Frasier
Jr., English teacher in New York City, now on sab
batical studying in East Africa; and Ralph K.
