Hayes, LaQuita Brown' and James Isaac III.
Youth of the Year Awards were presented to
Vecoda Elaine Lockhart and Tammy Tate.
Graduates from high school were Alton Holman,
Fred Brown, Mary Alston, Sheltbn Hayes and
Angela Odom. College graduates were Aleasc
Daniels - UNC-Greensboro; Jori Clark - NCCU;
Inetta Johnson - Johnson C. Smith; Nan Freeland -NCCU
School of Law.
Other awardees were William Booth, Youth
Director and Carlos Sanford.
Inspirational Singers Concert
The Inspirational Singers of St. Joseph's AME
Church, under the direction of Mrs. Carolyn
Williams, with Arnold George at the piano, will
present their Eighth Annual Concert, Sunday, June
27 at 5 p.m. in the sanctuary of the church.
Youth Revival at Ebenezer
Youth Revival will be held at Ebenezer Baptist
Church, 2200 S. Alston Ave., June 28 through July
2 beginning nightly at 7:15 p.m. Rev. Larry Scott

Third Annual PIE Conference
To Be Held September 14-17
NEW YORK The Steering Committee for'
! Partners In Ecumenism (PIE) has announced that i
Tuesday, September 14 through Friday, September
17 will be the dates for PIE's third national con-
ference. The theme for this year's conference will be
i "The Call, The Challenge, The Church'! taker
: from Luke 4: 18-19. The six major concerns of PE
wil be addressed in conference workshops .
