Hotel services that put your wardrobe back in shape after it’s been crammed into luggage for several hours can cost a small for tune. The smarter option — learn how to pack for a wrinkle-free arrival. Here, some helpful tips: * Begin with the right suitcase. Some helpful features for frequent fly ers ... combination gar ment bag (for all your important suits, dresses and other hangables) and detachable carry-on case for shoes, sweaters and bulky items, all on pull- along wheels so you can easily carry your bag onto the plane (thus avoiding the possible disaster of es sential luggage that doesn’t arrive with you). * When packing a tradi tional suitcase, use tissue paper or dry cleaners plas tic covering to wrap cloth ing, adding weightless bulk to ease compression, and reduce wrinkling. Fold clothing along natu ral seams as much as pos sible with skirt and trouser waistbands near the bag’s sides. Interfold garments with each other to prevent creasing in the wrong i places. * Roll up the less wrin kle-prone items — sweat ers, T-shirts, pantyhose, underwear, socks, sleep- wear — by carefully fold ing lengthwise if necessary, then roiling them up jelly-roll style. Use your roll-ups to fill up corners and odd spots so other items stay put with out shifting and wrinkling. * And, just to be sure, invest in a good travel iron to carry with you for quick touch-ups. You can al ways improvise an ironing board by spreading a tow el on a table top in your hotel room. : 1989, Tribune Media Services Weekday TV at a Glance 9:00 10:00 Miflter Roo«rt’ Neighborhood (CC) (1.8) TheNewGenenil Educational Oovelopment (CC) High school for adults Today'* Special (CC) (i. 8. 15) Concepts lor young children ZooblleeZoo Sesame Street (CC) Reading Rainbow (CC) 12:00 12:15 12:45 1:00 4:00 Sesame Street (CC) 5:00 5:30 Mister Rogers' Neighborhood (CC).',2.9) Adult Basic Education (CC) 9:00 10:00 10:45 11:00 Telling Tale* (3.15' Appalachian 'olktales Beginning Foreign Language (22,29) French 3>2-1 Contact Science The Universe and I (1) Sasic science Seagrowe Pottery (8,1S) Cancer Prevention (22) On the Level (29) HIgh-schoof ‘ student problems American Frontier 1 (8) More Books From Cover to Cover (29) Reading motivaiion What's in the Naws?
