Sr.) On December 1.^. the Post ami Ladies Auxiliary held their annual Christmas Parly at the Hut on Riddle Road. Special guests were Past Commander Bennie Umsicad and his wife. Mrs. Corona Um- siead. Clubs& Socials Saturday Morning Brunch The Saturday Morning Brunch Club met December 5 at the home of Mrs. Reaiher Core, with President Genevieve Rogers presiding. Mrs. Dora Wat.son conducted the devotion. Final plans were made for the Christmas party. Money was collected to purchase gifts for the needy. Mrs. Gore shared pictures of her trip to Egypt and gave favors to the mmembers. Other members prc.sent were Mmes. Clara Scott. Queen Cooper. Milie Williams. Beatrice Holcman, Pcarlie Walker. Susie Franklin and Gayle Taliaferro. Mrs. Pcarlie Walker was mistress of ceremony at the Christmas party held at the North Carolina Mutual Cafeteria. Carols were sung and games were played. Favors were given to members and guests. The group heard seasonal readings by Ms. Clara Scott and Ms. Sadie Chambers. After dinner, secret pals were revealed and Mrs. Rogers gave remarks. At the time of his death, he was operating a cleaning .service. He was a mcnibcr of Green Creek Baptist Church in Polk County. He was also a member of Joppa Masonic Lodge #55.
