This season's line-up features Men's Player of the Year. Mark Thomas of Livingstone and lamesha I leal of Virginia State as Women's Plaxer of the Year. Thomas, a 5 10 senior guard from Saginaw. Michi gan. led the Blue Bears to the top seeding in the South Dixision axeraging a league-best 21.2 points per ‘tame while dishing out 5.1 assists per contest, second in the league.
