It is said that it is "never too late to do good," we certainly think our obligations are due to these gen tlemen until returned. To Our City Subscribers. The contract with Mr. H. C. CaDps for the deliyery of the papers in the City of Char lotte, has been abrogated, on account of con tinued complaint because of the non-delivery of the paper. The plan was an experi ment, and has been a failure, but we are not discouraged in the belief that we shall yet be able to adopt sone plan, by which The Obsebvbb, shall be regularly and promptly delivered to our home patrons. We have traveled through twenty-eight States ; we spent four years and seven days following the fortunes of Lee el omne, many time plowing through the mud, cold, sleet and rain ; in fine ours has been a varied ex perience, our puthway many times lying through deserts "dark and thorny," beset by "fiends loud howling" by'the way, but the knottiest, most unfathomable question which we have ever met, is the safe, speedy and prompt delivery of the Obsxbvsb to our city patrons.
