C, Grier, of lower Mecklenburg, sold fourteen bales of cotton which classed as " fair or full good middling," and sold on this market on last : Saturday by C. W. Alexander, for 16 cents, or about a cent over the market. , , This cotton netted about seventy-two dollars per bale and shows what may be done by an improvement in cultivation and in the character of the seed.
