EniTOHS Obsehveii : ;
In your issue of yesterday you speak
of the recent spoliation of the old rec
ords in my oifi.ee, In justice to myself I
must say that your informer is mistaken
There has been a portion of two leaves
cut from the old records,bnt from the best
information I canget,! am satisfied that
it was done years and years ago. Wm
Maxwell, Esq., who was the Clerk of
the old County Court, informs me . that
the records were in the same condition
when he first came into the office that
they are at present.
