In the ab sence of the local proper of the Obser ver, in his name we extend the right hand of fellow-ship to our brother over the way. Mr. Sinclair is quite young to enter the field , journalistic, but he has not eb far-shown the prevailing weakness of the ambitious youths of the period by taking a single flight into the boundless realms of ether space. The new city editor of the Eagle is a grandson of Mr. Brevard Davidson of this place, and from what we nave seen of his productions we predict for him a brilliant and useful career but he must reconcile himself to poverty as that is almost an invariable characteristic of a popular provincial editor. : The C entennial B iok.
