The Provincial Court acquitted Weisenger of the charge of attempting to defraud the father of General Br iked. In the course of the trial, Weisenger declared that he was an adherent of Prince Bismarck, and ahenemy of the Ultra mones. His sole intention was to allure the Jesuit. to acquiesce, in an offer to assassinate .Bismarck, and thereby giver ' the latter a reason for more energetic proceedings against the Catholics. ; He hoped that Bis marck would reward him for his zeal. Tellatson, the Treasurer of Booth's Theatre was charged; before Commissioner Davenport, with having violated the. provisions of the civil rights bill in refusing to sell a ticket to IVm. R. Davis, a colored man, and as - auch not entitled to a seat in the thea , ire, elsewhere than in a portion of the tipper part of the house, set apart for colored persons. A "special meeting of the Board of Directors of the Baltimore & Ohio Rail Road, to consider the bases of settlement, agreed upon by President Scoty and IVice -President King,vat J the Fifth"Avenue Hotel on Friday, June 11th, was held to-day, and adjourned shortly after ward, at twelve o'clock, the session lasting about an hour! The proceed ings were strictly private, and will not be given to the press, it is stated by the officials, until after, three o'clock to-day, if then. This may be to pre vent speculation in stocks by outside parties. A number of reporters, repre senting papers in Washington,; New York, and other cities, are about the building, eagerly waiting the publicity of the proceedings. ; ? ..Later. It is understood' that the agreement is for a period of 10 years, the companies trj agree upon moderate rates between all competing points, which will be maintained by both. C which will be known as the Charlotte Branch of the Erie City Iron Works. Mr. W. C. Morgan, who is so widely and favorably known thoughout the South, will be in charge of the Charlotte. Branch, and we propose to keep on hand there, Portable and Stationary Engines, Boilers and Circu cular Saw Mills of oar own manafactare, also the beat make of Corn Mills, Gins, Presses, Shingle Mills and such other Machinery as the wants of the trade require. The Charlotte House is not an agency but branch of our works, owned and controlled by os, and any business done with us there is done with the manufacturers direct. We hope the establishment . of this branch house will serve to bring us nearer together and avoid the vt-zatious delays that so often occur in business at so great a distance as we are from yon.
