Their nearest offices now are Beattie's Ford and Brevard Station. ; The Improvements Which have recently been made in the city, are noticeable when you think of the nresent location!of the circus pictures. The principal places where they were posted last i year, were on the fence below the Central Hotel, just above McMurray A Davis on Trade street, and then on boards put up for the put pose on the vacant lot corner of Try on and Fourth. Two of Murray's dray mules, stand- ing in front of the Charlotte .Hotel, last evening after sundown, concluded to run away, and selected the route leading into the hotel as the; most eligible. After circling around in the street a time or two, they made a ai- rect plunge at the house, andeucceed- ed in getting on the pavement. The wagon, however; would follow them no further than the edge, and getting lodged fast between one of the large posts which supports the roof and a tree, made a halt there. . The, post 1 was knocked clear , off its pins, and which people were fooling with it, try ing to set it up straight, it fell into the street. Strange to say, notwithstanding the violence with which the mules were runnine. and: the suddenness with while' they stopped, neither they nor me wagon were in tne ieasi5 ipjureu.
