Service Observer at Sandy Hook, re
ported the body of a colored man
found last night, near where the W.
W. Weaver came ashore. He is sup
posed to be the man seen in the rig
ging. Portsmouth, N. 11., March 22. Six
vessels are ashore in the lower harbor.
They were blown on Garrishe's and
Clark's Islands, and one of them has
her masts cut away. It w"as impossi
ble to ascertain their names last night.
It is feared that these disasters have
involved considerable loss of life.
Cohasset, Mass , March 22. Three
masted schooners are ashore at Cat
Eiver. It was impossible last iiight
to ascertain their names or condi
tion. Proviscetowx, March 22. The
missing men from the wrecked ves
sels in harbor have all turned up. It
is now believed that not a single life
was lost.
Portsmouth, X. H., March 22. A
dispatch to-day says that about the
same time of the wreck of the Hattie
Elion,an unknown schooner appar
ently in distress, was endeavoring to
keep off the shore, but there was ter
rific wind, and nothing having been
seen or heard of her since, jt is feared
she went down with all on board.
Several fishing schooners in the lower
harbor dragged the anchors, and were
driven ashore. Wreckers have gone to
their assistance.

trict and Circuit Courts, passed, 173 to
82. The Senate bill for counting the
electoral vote, was resumed. Several
