As, nowever, Mourad's party is built upon such a war, it is expect ed that such a Sultan will give no binding promise. It is reported that three British men- of-war are cruising off the Dalmatian coast, to' prevent the landing of arms for the Insurgents; in the meantime, warlike preparations continue. Servia has just announced her adhesion to the Geneva Convention, relative to the treatment of the wounded. The of ficial Gazette of Montenegro declares that a fresh armistice is impossible, and says the insurrection will now con tinue in good earnest. The Times, in its second edition, publishes a special dispatch dated, Berlin, June 3rd, saying it appears that the powers have suspended action on the Berlin memorandum for a few days, in order to allow the new Turk ish Government to give unmistakable indication of their policy and their power of maintaining themselves.
