His case excited the sympathy of many living in his : section, and the petition was signed by many of the best people in Person. He.; came here with the bright hope of being able to restore hs erring boy to the arms of his almost heart-broken mother. Upon his arri val he hurried to the penitentiary, but what a shock awaited him there !
