The wind at Sandy Hook at 10 this morning was seventy-five miles an hour. Workmen were engaged clearing the stage yesterday, and noticed a strong odor proceeded from a heap of bricks near the left proscuieum boXiUid came to the conclusion a body was beneath. This morning the bricks were carefully removed and beneath was found the charred body of a man's , right leg and about one third of the right side of the trunk which had escaped the flames. The head and upper part of the body was consumed.V One firemen noticed a piece of black velveteen attached to the knee of the leg and this fact caused the belief that the remains were those of Murdock.
