New Orleans, June 20 Ex-State Auditor Jonnson was sentenced . to a fine of fifty dollars, and imprisoned in the parish prison for ten days, for re using to produce certain books, and to answer certain questions as to tnei1 contents,propbunded by the grand jury. Johnson says that some of the missing documents were destroyed, and others were taken away when they were ex pecting an attack by the white league in January last. In a petition to the court, Johnson says that he could not answer the questions for fear of crimi nating himself. Honors to Hampton at the North. Auburn, N. Y., June 20. Gov.
