Hyde Park, Mass., Feb. 15, 1876.
Mr. H. R. Stevens s
Dear Sir About ten years ago my health failed
through the depleting effects of dyspepsia; nearly
a year later I was attacked by typhoid-fever In its
worst form. It settled in my back, and took the
form of a large deep-seated abscess, which was
fifteen months in gathering. I had two surgtad
operations by the best skill In the State, but receiv
ed no permanent cure. I suffered great pain at
times, and was constantly weakened by a profuse
discharge, I also lost small pieces of bone at dif
ferent Unies,
Matters ran on thus about seven years, fill May,
187-4, when a friend recommended me to go to
your office, and talk with you of the virtue of Vege
tine. I did so, and by your kindness passed through
your manol&ctory, noting the ingredients, kc, by
which your remedy is produced.
By what I saw and beard 1 gained some confi
dence in vegenne.
I commenced taking it soon after, but felt worse
from its effects; sUll I persevered, and soon felt it
was benefitting me mother respects Yet I did not
see the results I desired till I had taken it faithful
ly for little more than a year, when the difficulty in
the back was cured: aad. for nine months! have
enjoyed the best of health.
I have in that time gained twenty-five pounds of
flesh, being heavier than ever before in my lite, and
i was never more aoie to periorm laDor tnan now.
During the past few. weeks I had a scrofulous
swelling as large as my fist gather on another part
oi my Doay. . ,
I took Vegetine faithfully, and it removed It level
with the surface in a month. I think I should have
Deen cored or my main trouble sooner It lixxa tak
en larger doses, after having become accustomed
to its effects.
Let your patrons troubled with scrofula or kidney
disease understand that it takes time to cure
chronic diseases; and, if they will patiently take
vegetine, it will, in my judgement, cure them.
With great obligations I am

AND
CONGRATULATORY.
In looking back over the business of the year
now just ending, I feel very thankful to my many
friends and the public generally, for the liberal
support they have given me In my efforts to supply
the wants our city with a FIRST-CLASS Grocery,
where anything In the grocery Une can be found,
and I flatter myself that I have tilled the want to
the entire satisfaction of my numerous patrons.
In the future, as in the past, I propose to keep a
strictly first-class stock of
FANCY AND HEAVY GROCERIES,
AND
CONFECTIONERIES.
and assure the public that no effort of mine shall
be spared to please, and I sha'l always keep on
hand the best and most complete stock that the
demands of my customers may require, and now
call attention to the fact that I have the agency
here for the celebrated
BRIDGEWATER FAMILY FLOUR,
the best In America, as attested by the fact of Its
having received the first silver medal at Parts. I
have also just received 25 barrels of STONEWALL
Family Flour, and 20 barrels of Baltimore Family
Flour, both of which are very good flours equal to
any sold in this market, except Brldgewater.
Also something very nice in the way of Family
Cheese, Pickled Pigs' Tongue and many other
novelties. Very Respectfully,
LeROY DAVIDSON.
I beg leave to return my sincere thanks to my
many friends who bestowed their patronage on me
in my new quarters with Mr. Davidson, and promis
ing by strict attention and fair dealing to merit it
in the future I solicit a continuance of the same.
Very Respectfully,
GEO. T. COLEMAN.
