There had been a disagreement between the two several weeks ago and good feeling has lut since been restored between tneirt. Wednesday morning the two went to work in the field,;bothnwith shoes Jin their' hands, when the quarrel was resumed on the partof Huneycutt. Whether there was actually a witness to the subsequent occurrence we are not advised, but at all events the story goes that Hunep cutt, after a diatribe poured out upon the head of Bloom, receiving no re sponse, rttshed upon him and dealt trim a blow on the top of . the head, felling him to the ground, and left him lying in the field. , .,.., . . ,.,v, ,' . ., f- The injured nian .was taken up, speechless and tmconseious, and carried to a house near by, ..when medical aid waasummoned. In this fight both parties had canes, and several blows were dealt, Mr. .Lanton getting tne worst of it.
