WOMAN'S BEST FRIEND.
B Is welhaidwn to physicians, and alas! too well
known to suffering women themselves, mat iney
are subject to numerous diseases peculiar to their
sex. such as suppression of the Menses, painful
and scanty Menstruation. Congestion, Ulceration
and railing oi the womD, attended wim an end
less train or. sympathetic ana- eonsaiuuonai disor
ders, which embitters the whole life, and which
have ions-been considered as almost incurable.
But at last the remedy has been found In
DR. J. BRADFIBLD'3 FEMALE REGULATOR,
it la not a "cure-all" but a remedy for one class
of diseases, all of which pertain to the Womb.
Any sufferer from the diseases mentioned can
take this remedy, and thus relieve herself without
revealing her condition to any one,, and without
subjecting her womanly modesty to the shock of
an examination by a physician.
To bring health ana happiness to me nomes oi
suffering women Is a mission before which royal
i avor sink lntj lnslenlfloance. What earthly ben
efaction can compare with one which protects from
"That dire d'sease whose ruthless power
Withers beauty's transient flower?"
which gives ease for pain, Joy for sorrow, smiles
for tears, the rose of health for the paUor of dis
ease, the light, elastic step for dragging weariness
nights of soft repose for heavy hours of tossing
restless nets, nounamg vigor ior waguisuuiB uuu
ness, the sweet lines of full grown beauty for the
sharp and withered form of emaciation, a long
life or mental, physical, social ana aomesuceujuy
ments for a "few sad days" of pain and gloom,
ending In an early grave? Such Is the mission,
such are tne results or ut. j. do.auj lmju o h -MA
LB REGULATOR, which is hence truly and
appropriately styled "Woman's Best Friend."
"Whites" and all those Irregularities of the
womb so destructive to the health, happiness and
beauty of women, disappear like magic before a
single bottle of this wonderful compound.
All who suffer from any of these diseases are
most earnestly inwlted to give this great remedy a
trial. It has cured thousands and will core you.
Don't fan to try it.

Mr. Loiillard's horses- hav been

It is claimed that over l.00Q.ne? son's

The attorney-general of' New York
has informed the assembly that the bill
to confer on women the .right to vote is
unconstitutional.
The firm attitude of England and
France has checked the Egyptian revo
lutionists and the status- quo is still
maintained.
The Dublin police has traced the car
in which the murderers of Lord Caven
dish and Mr. Burke rode to Phoenix
Park to the stable from which it was
procured.
Henry Fleming, who was to have
been hanged at Pittsboro, Miss., Friday
for the murder of Graham, received a
respite till fall just as he was about be
ing led to the gallows.
Wm. Quinn and James Doyle, two
young Irishmen, have been arrested in
Rochester, N. Y., charged with explod
ing a dynamite bomb on the street Sun
day evening. The bomb was placed in
an ice wagon and the men threw stones
at it until they struck and exploded it.
Miss Martha J.. Knox, aged 28 years,
was run over by a train and killed Sun
day evening at Brandywine Station,
Del., on the Philadelphia, Wilmington,
and Baltimore Railroad. Miss Knox
lived in Philadelphia, and with her be
trothed, was spending Sunday with her
brother, who lived within fifty feet of
Brandywine Station.
At yesterday's session of the African
M. E. Zin Conference, in Poughkeepsie,
N. Y Bishop Moore commented on the
fact that members of the conference
continually use tobacco. He criticised
severely the practice, saying that it de
tracted from the dignity of ministers
of the church. Delegates were elected
to the Virginia and Philadelphia and
Baltimore Conferences.
The Central News' Dublin dispatch
says the police have discovered that the
car in which the murderers escaped
was hired by a stranger from a stable
in the southern part of the city, and
was returned about 8 o'clock on the
evening of the murder. They hope to
be able to trace the driver. The assas
sins dispersed when the car returned to
the stable on the night of the murder.
The police merely suspect who the
driver is. They have the man undtr
surveillance, and he may be arrested,
but the detectives have no chance of
bringing home his guilt unless an in
former comes forward. The persons
who witnessed the flight of the assas
sins have been shown the car, the horse
and the suspected driver, but their evi
dence as to identity is conflicting and
unsatisfactory. The man Rush, who,
it is stated, drove the car containing
the murderers, is a car owner. He was
questioned by the police as to whether
any of his cars are missing, but the in
quiry was without result. A man
named Robert Dowdall was arrested at
Cork Monday, on the arrival of the mail
train from Dublin, on suspicion of be
ing concerned in the murders. His face
was scratched. I he man Jaines Mc-
Grath, who was arrested at Shrews
bury, England, on suspicion of being
concerned in the murders, it has been
found, bad no connection with them.
He, however, has been held on a charge
of theft

Ridge Scrip
The United States circuit court at
Charleston, Tuesday, affirmed the valid
ity of the Blue Ridge scrip, issued by
the State of South Carolina under the
act of March, 1873, in exchange for cer
tain bonds of the Blue Ridge Railway,
endorsed by the State, in 1S73. the
scrip act was declared unconstitutional
and void by the Supreme court of the
State, and was subsequently repealed
by the Legislature. Tne present decree
orders an account to be taken of all the
scrip in the hands of bona fide holders,
and the proper process then to issue to
compel the receipt of said scrip for
State taxes, and to compel the levying
of an annual tax for its redemption.
and to restrain county treasurers from
collecting taxes when said scrip is ten
dered and leiused.
The plaintiffs in this case are Amos
D. Williams and E. B. Westray, of New
York, whose claims amount to about
hajlf a million dollars, advanced the
State upon security of the Blue Ridge
Railway bonds, which were subsequent
ly surrendered by them in exchange for
scrip.

SAMARITAN SERVICE
Cures Alcoholism, Drunkenness and the habit of
Opium Eating. These degrading habits are by far
the worst evils that nave ever beiaiien sunenng
humanity. Thousands die annually from these
noxious drugs. The drunkard drinks liquor not
because he likes it, but for the pleasure of drink
ing and treating his frltnds, little thinking that he
is on his road to ; uin. Lite the Opium Kater. he
first uses the drug in small quantities as a harmless
antidote. The soothing influence ot the drug
takes strong hold upon its victim, leading htm on
to his own destruction. The habits of Opium
Eating and Liquor Drinking are precisely what
eating is to allmentlveneos, as e ver eating first In
flames the stomach, which redoubles Its cravings
until It paralyzes both the stomach and appetite.
So every drink of liquor or dose of opium. Instead
of satisfying, only adds to Its fierce fires, until It
consumes the vital force and then Itself. Like the
glu.tonous tape-worm, it cries "Give, give, give!"
but never enough until its own rapacity devours
Itself. Samaritan Nervine gives Instant relief in
such cases. It produces sleep, quiets the nerves,
builds up the nervous system, and restores body
