The entire house was beauti fully decorated, the east parlor being n yellow and while, the library In jfreen. the hell In autumn leaves and the dining room, the most artistic of ill. In grevn und white with wed ding bells very much In evidence. Over the center table waa one large bell of reeu and white and from this was a luster of small bolls, while from this Zurich there wera streamers of green md white to all purts of the room, each ending with a bell, the effect be ing very pretty. A delightful supper nas served. From the dining room Co? quests passed to the rear hall where lelioious frappe was dispensed by nevy or young gins. The guests were rivited for different hours, und -.hroughout tht entire evening from an -arly hour until late, there was a run f callers, all of whom were unanimous n the opinion that the evening had een an unusually pleasant one. Jjach ex hibitor presented a score of claims why he should get honors as against all comers, and the competition became so keen that each Arm felt the entire standing of their business was up in the receipt of the prized medal. All the typewriter exhibitors being Ameri can, they displayed a spirit of Yankee tight .that made decision hard. Some of them even went so far as to antici pate results, and announced several weeks ago that they had won In the contest, though the official award was jnly made to-day, and as a result tne Oliver Typewriter people are being con gratulated on winning a great victory.
