The match game of basket-ball between the freshmen and sophomores Monda.y morning was well played, and showed much good practice on the part of both teams. Cunningham and Thomas Maybre, who drew a small cart, con taining the class stone with appropri ate inscription. After the class had taken its position. Rev. J. W. Willis offered iirayer. Then the class presi dent. Miss Mary Williams, made a brief address of welcome. Miss Mary Thomson, class phophet, then read the future cf every member. Each one, as her name was called, stepped out and threw a spadeful of earth about the roots of the tree, remain ing while her destiny was proclaimed and resigning the spade to the next In order. When the tree was firmly fixed in the earth, the class president turned and presented the spade to the Junior president, Miss Susie Hender son, w ho responded for her class In happy style. Incorporated a few days ago by President Winston and others of the A. & M. College ftc ully, organized yesterday with W. C Rlddick, president, and Bursar A. F. Howen as secretary. The company is preparing to begin at once the grading of an alhl.-tlc field on the college property back of tile dormitories and between the rail road and the barns. Several thousand yards of dirt must be used to make level the four acres of ground re quired two car loads of tile drain pipe have already been received for use In this .work, and the park will b sufficiently large for baseball, fool hall and track nth let Irs. A cinder track will skirt the field. The Infield will have a cinder foundation 12 inches deep, covered with soil..
